this workshop, parents have the opportunity to take a closer look at how
they discipline and its effectiveness.

Freeing Your Family From Perfectionism
If you think your child may be a perfectionist or if you've ever wondered
if you are a perfectionist, this workshop is for you. Perfectionism is

positive changes that will enrich your child's life and your own.

growth opportunities.
Real Boys
This workshop is based on William Pollack's book Real Boys: Rescuing
Our Sons From the Myths of Boyhood and will explore this generation's
silent crisis: why so many boys are sad, lonely, and confused although
they may appear tough, cheerful, and confident. This workshop helps parents
avoid the all-too-common pitfalls many parents make as they raise their
sons.

Parents have the opportunity to reflect on their temperament, the temperaments
of different family members, and the compatibility between all of you.

inside and outside the home!

the importance of nurturing these aspects within their families.
Curing Children's Affluenza
Af-flu-en-za n.1. The bloated, sluggish and unfulfilled
feeling resulting from trying to buy all the latest stuff and keep up
with the Joneses. 2. An unsustainable addiction to consumption and economic
growth without regard for the consequences.
An outbreak of Affluenza has
been reported in this country. Do you have it? Do your children have it?
What are the symptoms and what is the cure? Join us to view and discuss
this award-winning documentary about the modern day plague of materialism
and over-consumption, as well as its effect on children and families.
Girls Can't Play With Trucks: Gender Stereotypes

as well as ideas about modeling gender inclusive attitudes and behavior.

As parents, it is difficult to watch a child struggle with his or her
parents' decision to divorce. What can we do to help them through this
difficult time? This workshop helps you better understand divorce from
a child's point of view and offers practical suggestions about how to
help.
Positive Parenting
Every parent needs a variety of "tools" in his or her parenting
toolbox. This workshop focuses on three powerful parenting tools: the
use of limits, natural consequences, and logical consequences. All three
are healthy, positive approaches to guiding, nurturing, and disciplining
children.
Moms And Dads Parent Differently
While moms and dads bring an equal amount of love for their children to
their parenting, they do not always show love for children in the same
ways. This workshop gives parents the opportunity to learn about different
parenting styles that men and women often display, as well as the value
of consistency on the home front.
Teaching Tolerance And Respect
Did you know that by the age of 3 children notice different gender and
ethnic backgrounds? When your child asks you questions about these differences,
are you comfortable answering them? This workshop gives parents the tools
they need to teach their children to be tolerant, respectful, and welcoming
of differences.
